Shawn Peter Raul Mendes is a 20-year-old Canadian pop singer, songwriter, record producer and model born on August 8, 1988, in Toronto, Ontario. He was grown up in a religious family along with his sister named Aaliyah. His parents are Karen and Manuel Mendes.
He learned to play guitar in 2014 by watching tutorial videos on YouTube. Almost one year later he started to upload his cover videos in various sites and became the most followed singer on Vine in August 2014.
Life of The Party is his first single. He has released almost three albums and those albums debuted atop the US Billboard Hot 200. He was one of the youngest artists who debuted in the top 25 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
He has involved himself with various kinds of social activities and also has worked with an organization named Pencils of Promise, which helps in the education sector of developing countries. Mendes has won various types of awards and also nominated for two Grammy Awards.
